i need to get back to doing something! i feel my tummy is getting bigger lol.

any recommendations for someone who gets off from work already tired?

i guess i could wake up early and exercise, but... no.

ha.

:(

:p
That's the hardest time to try and work out. When you are already tired.

You just have to be hard-core and pick a time and go for it.

Being tired is kind of a cascade effect as well. It will gain more and more momentum until you are more and more tired.

Working out will give you energy again...

the struggle is real. i used to go straight to the treadmill after work. i wouldn't give myself time to sit down and relax because i knew i wasn't going to get back up lol. i need to get back into habit.

I always have to work out within about 2 hrs of waking up.

Otherwise, I will come up with too many good excuses to not work out at all.

I'm really good with excuses.

Isn't it weird how we can talk ourselves out of something we want to do, but our flesh doesn't???

As some of you know, I am a fitness coach as well as a life coach. Fitness and being healthy is something I am very passionate about. I am already working with some people to push them to get to their goals.

I wanted to start this to see who else is into fitness? What are some things you do in order to get healthy? I'd love to hear your stories on here on how you wanted to get healthy. I want to hear all about your success stories as well :) I have lost 80 pounds!

Tell me all the stories.
Since retiring a few weeks ago, I've been taking a daily 40-minute walk. I haven't lost any weight yet.

How's retirement treating you so far?
I enjoy it, thank you. I'm still waiting for the government to confirm what I am going to make this year, so I can get the tax credit on my medical insurance premiums, but retirement is neat.

I'm going back to solo workouts, I feel like it's way more enjoyable and I can be a lot more productive.
While I'm incredibly grateful to my friend/workout partner for showing me all the machines and lifting techniques, she really stresses me out.

Another benefit: I can switch to all morning workouts, the evening workouts really mess up my sleep...i am sleeping soundly, but it takes forever to fall asleep. Just too wound up.

In conclusion: Good night.

I train only with my trainer, but I'm a mix between introversion and extroversion. The only reason I don't socialize so much at the gym is because I am saving up my calories in between my lifts (3-5 minutes rest).

I did a workout last night, then a few hours later I did another one lol. I've been trying to cut down to 10% bf - I'm at roughly 12.5% atm.. but sometimes I get irritated with wanting faster progress and really try to push myself. The first workout was good, but the second was better. I pretty much did everything until failure.

I was on the night shift yesterday.

I was too tired to work out after I got done. So I went to sleep for 4hrs.

When I got up I was still tired so I was going to skip working out.

But a friend talked me into going to work out anyways. And he brought a friend too.

I'm glad I went. I felt completely re-freshed afterwards. And I was able to get 3 more reps on my heaviest set than I thought I could.

Confession: I haven't worked out in almost 3 weeks. Just had some crazy things going on.

The funny thing is that I pulled a spot in my back a few years ago, and it's never been the same since. I often wake up in the middle of the night because it's bothering me.

But... in the time I haven't been working out... it hasn't really bothered me much at all. I must be doing something wrong during my workouts that is aggravating that area.

These are the times I wish we could all go to the gym together, so someone could observe my movements and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Next week, I'll be back at it. I keep reading about all the great progress everyone is having... and I'm getting jealous.
