Exactly!

God commands His people to kill, to wipe out entire nations.
My point is, that does not make the bible evil.
Nor does it mean Christians today go about killing (well, some do, but not Christianity as a whole)
So why do people assume all Muslims do because THEIR book has such parts in it when they don't assume Christians do?

If you were to take verses of the OT out of context surely we would look just like what people think of Islam no?

No,people have a misunderstanding of the Quran. The Quran and the Hadith taken together talk more of jihad, killing and violence than it talks of anything else. These "holy books" do not teach Muslims how to be better people, how to treat their neighbors as the Bible teaches us. No the majority of these books talk about jihad, the infidel and violence. And the violence and jihad is future tense, where as the Bible speaks of wars that happened and God bringing justice against tribes that attacked the Jews, the Quran talks of future jihad, killing and violence. The Bible does not. There is no comparison and this is the problem,Christians dont know these things and think Islam is comparable to the Bible, and it is not,not in any way.

Agreed, and also God telling a specific group of people to take out another very specific group of people at a very specific time, is in no way at all comparable to the Quran commanding all believers (Muslims) of all times to do these things, these commands are not even close to being the same thing at all.

and, since most people will not look any of these truths up, and the main stream media certainly will not ever do a story on it, the muslim deception will continue........

To all the Muslims
who sent me messages pointing out that we should not judge Islam by the actions of Muslims? Thank you for the comments, I agree with you completely. We don't judge religions by their adherents. We judge religions by their central figures and teachings.
^This : p

Im tempted to make this my new signature, haha : p I really like David Wood.

From what I know, you are born Muslim the same way you are born a Jew. Faith / doctrine or not.
Islam is a faith, their creed is "there is no god but allah, and muhammad is his messenger", anyone can become a Muslim by repeating that creed. Anyone can choose to become a Muslim and anyone can choose to leave Islam.
Though, sadly, according to Muhammad there are consequences for leaving Islam. You can hear stories of Christians in Islamic countries who have left Islam who are afraid to tell anyone that they have come to Christ.

How to become a Muslim - convert to Islam , shahadah
(*EDIT: Im only posting that for educational purposes, in no way should anybody consider converting to Islam.
Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6)

Yeah. Magenta posted it here a few days ago, most people know nothing of Islam and just assume its like any other "religion", like as if its just like Christianity. It has some nice sounding verses, some not so nice sounding verses, and it all just depends on context.
Its really not at all like Christianity : p

The notion that people are born muslim, is just a leftist attempt to bring muslims into racial politics.
Easy, Tom. Take a breath. I think that would be a pretty common assumption since they all come from the same sort of religious background over there.

You don't know much then.
That is true in part, because Jewish denotes ethnicity and nationality, whereas Muslim does not, despite all the ridiculous claims of one being a racist if they stand against the Satanic system known as the religion of Islam. However, if one is born of a Muslim father, they are considered to be Muslim by other Muslims, who may commit taqiyya and say there is no compulsion in religion (as if the child is free to choose), while their book instructs them to kill infidels (those who depart the faith).

This is so true, and yet we have supposed Christians who will continue to make the comparison as if there is any logic or truth in it. In other words, people who are nonsensical, making statements devoid of any value but misleading enough to deceive the unwary, while they discredit Scriptures. If they do not understand Scripture, it is possible they are not even Christian.

That's why I said I'm really not too much into insulting or offending you. I honestly don't care that much. I usually just state what I think I see, and that's about all I care to do.

You might be surprised how much is often revealed when you think you are "saying" very little.

i can agree with that, definitely times when people look far too deep into something or put their own twist into it with their weird imaginations

but Matthew 12:34

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

words arent to be thrown around lightly

im only recently learning to control myself in this reguard

Why do people forget that us Christians did the same stuff that the Muslims are doing in our conquest of the world?

We literally boiled humans alive to convert them to our beliefs,my elderly relatives remember being beaten for speaking their own language.

Nobody forgets. We did this? No, someone in the past did those horrible things. Are we as Christians told in our Holy Book to do such things? No, we most definitely are NOT instructed in our Scriptures to do any such thing! Don't get confused and think that Christians doing horrible things in any way equates to Muslims doing the very things their books instruct them to do. It is not so fine a point it needs to be kept being made, is it? Can you really not see the difference?
