Does someone need to ask God outloud "please save me" to be saved?

Ok, but it is also through faith, isn't it? How can someone be saved other than by having faith?

Does someone need to ask God outloud "please save me" to be saved?

By the way, I don't really know if by God I meant the Father, or the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all at once (because I guess God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, right?).

Does someone need to ask God outloud "please save me" to be saved?

But it's faith that saves us though, isn't it? How does one "accept His (the Father's?) grace"? Isn't it just faith that saves us?

Does someone need to ask God outloud "please save me" to be saved?

Isn't it just faith? Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV) 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Does someone need to ask God outloud "please save me" to be saved?

Does someone need to ask God outloud "please save me" to be saved? Just had maybe an hour plus long conversation in chat in a Christian chat room. My position might have been we are saved by faith, so no?

    Questions about God

Is God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit? One God, but three different Persons (who are one)? Not one person being three Persons, but one God who is three Persons? Also is Jesus the Son of God? If he is, is he the Son of God in that he is God the Son and Son of God the Father?

Is everything that an unsaved person does sin?

I guess I don't understand. If you steal something how are you guilty of murder? Are you sure that you're right?

Is everything that an unsaved person does sin?

Romans 14:23 King James Version 23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Can it be taken from Romans 14:23 that everything an unsaved person does is sin, or is this not something that can be taken from Romans 14:23?

Doctrines like Limited Atonement - why?

Argh, if I'm not mistaken I edited my original post. This might have been how I originally had it, and might be way more appropriate.

Doctrines like Limited Atonement - why?

What is the need for doctrines like Limited Atonement? Why summarize Scripture and then put a name on it and then view Scripture through that doctrine instead of just reading Scripture as it is? Isn't this a dangerous thing to do? What if one of your takeaways from Scripture is wrong, even in a...

    Is this how we're saved?

How can you say that Jesus didn't die to take the punishment for our sins (if that's what you're saying)? Jesus died for our sins, right? Don't those words mean that he died to take the punishment for our sins?

    Is this how we're saved?

I just have a question. In 1 Corinthians 15:3 is it saying that Christ died for everyone's sins?

    Is this how we're saved?

Does anyone want to comment on or respond to Journeyman's post?

    Is this how we're saved?

My head might be a mess so please bear with me (currently on some medication and my brain might just be messed up I guess). Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, right? Jesus didn't take the punishment that the Father has for us through what happened to him on the cross?

    What is Romans 10:9 saying?

I think I might have had other screen names in the past that were banned and I might have asked RoboOp for permission before I started using this site again. I don't know exactly what you're thinking of me but it might be all in your head.

    What is Romans 10:9 saying?

People receive the Holy Spirit when they believe, right? Man, I think I just need to talk to a good pastor and maybe stop asking questions here and maybe other places. It might be me, but I might not be making much progress.
