I don't follow you. It seems to me that most, if not all, of those verses are saying their belief was a result of having been chosen (or ordained) to eternal life, from/by which, they came to believe. That was my point - that true belief is an outcome of having been chosen by God to eternal life.

It may have taken you 30+ years to grow in the awareness of it- and for many that is also true - for me too - yet, the receiving of that awareness is not always simultaneously to it occurring - one a result of a change of spirit; the other, a renewing of the mind that follows after it.
