Who on CC fits your condemning description? I believe much of what you accuse of. But I feel sorry for those of you are so busy trying to earn and complete what Christ already accomplished...it really is telling God that the death of His Son was not sufficient to save.

All men will give an account of their works. We will NEVER give an account of our faith. Faith of itself is meaningless. Faith must have evidence. Thus we are saved through our faith, a living productive faith. If we are faithful we shall inherit eternal life with Christ.

*thumbs up*

Good works is faith in action.
..................................................

God gives us our initial faith, which nurtures or withers in accordance with our lifestyle.

A lifestyle of good-will and good-works --- good faith with good fruit

A lifestyle of evil ---> bad faith with bad fruit

Matthew 7:16 "you will know them by their fruits."

Once we profess Christ to be Lord, we start of with faith which must grow via both our mental and physical actions.

mental and physical actions ---> works
good works ---> beneficial to the kingdom of God
bad works --> God wants to smite us

Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." (emphasis added)

God gives us our initial faith, which we must nurture ourselves in order to better help us and others reach the proper end.

Our faith is dead faith if we don't reveal that faith through our physical actions/works.

Additional study

Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
If we have solid faith, then we may let God reveal his glory through us via our physical actions.

Proverbs 14:23 "In toil there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."
We must work for the kingdom of God, building it up.

If we nurture our own faith, then our faith will translate into good works, our good works will strengthen the faith of others, causing them to grow into the beings God intends for them to be.

If a person were to accept CHRIST and as soon as they did, they immediately died before they could do any work, would this mean they did not receive salvation,or does this mean that they were saved by faith only?

What does that have to do with anything?

When we say that good works are required for salvation, we don't mean in the sense where if you don't do works you'll go to Hell. Good works are required because they support the boundaries of our faith.

Faith is required for salvation + good works can help faith grow = both faith and good works are required for salvation

I use a shotgun to kill a robber. Even though my shotgun was the primary factor behind the robber's death, (sucks to be him) my shotgun's upgrade, an extended barrel, made my shotgun better at its job.

shotgun = faith
good works - enhance the faith

Jesus said believe Jesus did not say do this or that. Jesus did say it is finished.

Jesus said one must do the works of believing, repenting confessing and submitting to baptism to be saved, Jn 8:24; Lk 13:3,5; Mt 10<32,33 Mk 16:16.

Jesus said His work on earth in dying for mankind was finished.

'Must' or 'Will' have works is only so because faith alone receives the Gospel and the Holy Spirit Who produces good works in us.
Faith alone is dead and a dead faith cannot do anything.

Oh, you are not speaking of water but being baptized into His death/burial and resurrection...into Christ Himself.

Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
1 Pet 3:21; Rom 6:3,4 is water baptism, the one baptism of Eph 4:5, the human administered water baptism of Christ's great commission.

The only way to have works is if a person were to continue living after they were saved and this would be called sanctification, and this type of work would be good work resulting from being changed from the law mentality to faith,a new creature.

But GOD does not look at work the way man looks at work.

I mean that man(if he has not been reborn) needs to see physical work before he would have faith, but GOD looks at the intentions.

So the only way that faith would be dead without works is if a person is looking at the physical.(what they can see),and if they did not see faith expressed.if a human being can't see it physically, then how would they know if that person has faith.

Only GOD can see your heart.

So faith without works is dead to man,But not to GOD.
Faith must have works BEFORE one is saved for a dead faith cannot do anything much less save.

Since the impenitent, denier of Christ and the one with unforgiven/unremitted sins cannot be saved, that means before one can be saved, his faith must include the works of repenting, Lk 13:3,5; confessing, Mt 10:32.33' and submitting to baptism, Mk 16:16. Faith/works is something that can be seen, Mk 2:1-5; Jonah 3:10

I'll let you 'work' mongerers fight over which works are required. As for me, I choose to trust in the finished WORK of Jesus Christ my Savior. Anything further is a waste of time and an insult to the God of grace.

That is your limited understanding of what Jesus said. To understand what Jesus said in the context of eternity and absolute perfection is something altogether different.

If only you could believe as a little child you would not doubt and placate yourself with useless works that are of no profit in eternity.

The bible plainly points out for one to be saved he must do the works of believing, repenting, confessing and submitting to baptism, Jn 8:24; Lk 13:3,5; Mt 10:32,33; Mk 16:16.

The "do nothing mongerers" are implying that an unbelieving, impenitent, denier of Christ lost in his unforgiven/unremitted sins is who is saved.

Can a quadriplegic commit sin?
Jesus said that sin was a matter if the heart. What do you think? Could a quadriplegic murder someone in his/her heart? Could they hate God for their condition?

I do not think the bible can be more clear in Jesus saying one must do the works of believing, repenting confessing and submitting to baptism to be saved, Jn 8:24; Lk 13:3,5; Mt 10:32,33; Mk 16:16.
