Was the justified thief at the cross baptized? A great number of people in the region were. Chances are not low that he may indeed have been baptized. That is, with John's baptism.
However, this happening was still under the old covenant and while circumcision still served as the sign and seal of the covenant. May we assume that the justified thief was jewish? And if so thereby circumcised. As a jew he might have gone through several mikvahs.

If baptism, to Christ, now in the new covenant serves as a sign and seal of the covenant, replacing circumcision, then what does this give?

Circumcision under the Law was sign of the covenant, a literal cutting away of the flesh.
Now it is not physical cutting away of the flesh, but in baptism it is the circumcision of the heart.
Which still is a separating from the flesh, "a new creature" that "walks in newness of life", the "old man" of a carnal mind in gone.

Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.


Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Baptism is as commanded and necessary today as was circumcision under the old covenant?
Yes, there is a multitude of passages that command it.

This passage does not apply to those who are not in Christ.
This is concerning those outside of the body. When "they" meaning others outside of the body.
Again, why do christians live in such a bubble as to refer that this is ONLY for them? Now if only christians are awake and sober, how would you then explain those that are sleep and NOT christian that are TOGETHER with Christ?

Well who was Paul's epistle written to? 1Th 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. , Does this not imply it was to Christians. It is for all men to read so we (and those who are outside of Christ) can know the benifits of being a Christian

What happens to a man that feels pleasure in raping woman, murdering babies and does not give a dam about the word?

Will he be your friend in heaven?

Will a Holy God allow a unbelieving wicked murderer to enter His kingdom without repentance?

What about the justice of Him that sitteth on His great white throne of judgment......?
What happens to him? The same thing that happens to you and me beloved. We die. We all are one in the grave, where there is no pleasure, period!

God said that He would remember sin NO MORE. The rapist, whos spirit is released upon death and free to marry another is then repentant upon finally coming to a knowledge of the truth. Sin cannot passover as surely as the egyptians could not! The rapist who "passovered", now made in God's image, no longer remembers sin!

We all talk about justice, but whos are we really in search of? You look for justice based on a law of dead works. Beloved, judge not by this law as he is now dead (literally) to sin. I judge by the the law of liberty and mercy rejoices AGAINST judgment.

No, God will not allow "a unbelieving wicked murderer to enter His kingdom without repentance", but tell me what flesh and blood will enter in?

How can one be HURT by the death of death and hell?

To me there are those today that walk in the Midst of that lake of fire, willingly out of Love
for their Savior, it is a all Consuming fire, that burns up, and makes anew.

To be made in His Image, one Must Go through the Fire and be purified.
For without Holiness no man shall see the Lord.
Isa 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

ive seen this before the same reason why they ask: why would a loving God throw people in a everlasting torment?

is this the reason you believe it in this way?

What had your mind changed, because it is written God is love?

What about God's wrath?

First of all, I don't know what your reffering to when you say my mind has changed.
Secondly, the parable Jesus was talking about with the rich man and Lazarus, was directed
at the Religious of His Day.

God's wrath is revealed (Unveiled) from Heaven against all Ungodliness, continually, not future,
well not entirely, it's a continuous thing.

I'm not waiting to die so I can be with Him, like most, He is my Life that I live Here and now.
And because I dont' look to the future for these things to happen, I get to enjoy that Life now
also.
