Is it bad that I don't like shoutie preachers as much? They kinda freak me out.
Me neither... it looks to me like they are putting up a show and not honest about what they're talking about.
But I guess we are all different and it really ministers to someone else.

Anyone would think Christians were Gnostic the way many Christians throw the word 'carnal' around.

I can sometimes become annoyed at Jesus jukeing. It can make things suddenly uncomfortable, like the original conversation wasn't holy enough or something

That one kid who can't sing is always right in front of the mic at the Christmas play. It's cute, but dang.
I used to play in the worship team at a small fellowship. One guy that always sat in the front row sang at the top of his lungs off key. It was sooooooo distracting because I could hear him better than the rest of the worship team and would think I hit a wrong chord on my guitar. It's also really hard to sing harmony when the melody you're hearing is the off key guy in the front row.

When you say to someone "I have a prayer request," tell them, and then they try to tell you what you're doing is wrong. I know it's wrong, that's why I need the prayer. And I didn't ask for a judgment call.
I've come across people like that, too. Depending on how they say it, I always suspect such people are never going to pray for you anyhow. If they say it out of genuine concern for you, it's one thing. If they say it with a smug expression on their face, it's quite another.

A peeve of mine is Christians who hold the same attitudes as the world.
There are those who seem to think they need to act "cool" and aloof. I'm glad Jesus never acted this way!

On a related note (an off-key note) it's hard to play drums when there are four or five people playing tambourines in the congregation, and all of them are off beat in different ways. >.<

When friends and family try to guilt you into coming back to church. I mean there is a lot of love behind it but I still don't enjoy being guilted. Not saying I don't deserve it, but still

- when someone says, "God confirmed in my spirit" and what follows is completely anti-biblical. "oh He told you to steal someone's husband? umm.. no."

- when the person singing melody is just a bit sharp/flat and it makes my harmony sound off.

- when i notice a misspelled word on the screen during praise and worship, and i mean to fix it afterwards, but forget. and then remember the NEXT time we sing that song. lol

1. When people say "Jesus loved everybody; He never condemmed a single person or called anyone out for his/her sins"

2. "God is made up. It's all in your head"

3. "Jesus never spoke against homosexuality"

4. "Christianity is a crutch for the weak and stupid"

5. "Only a fool would believe there is someone (or something) up there"

6. "Love of and support for Israel is nothing but Christian Zionism"

7. "God wants you to have the best of everything. You're His child, so you deserve it"

8. "Think positively and you will attract positive things. Think negatively, and you will attract negative things"

9. "You're sick because you don't have enough faith, or God doesn't really love you"

10. "Jesus wants so bad to give you a bigger house, a nicer car, a great job, a happy marriage, the best parking spaces, etc."

11. "I'm one of God's anointed, so a curse on anyone who judges or speaks against me"

12. "God loves you; you don't have to change a thing"

These are all paraphrases but you get the idea............

When someone within the church hurts you, the first thing out of their mouths is, "No Christians are perfect", rather than an apology.
And woe betide anyone who is part of a church these days and starts having personal problems. You're on your own once that happens.

Yeah, that drives me crazy too. We're broken people, why is it so difficult to come alongside and care, pray and encourage? AK! I might get somma that sin on me! :(

When someone praying for you tries to push you with their hand so you fall backwards. If the Spirit leads I will fall back, but you don't need to try and shove me D:

Churches that always claim that this pet project or that pet project has the blessing of God.
The only problem is that when they inevitably face a financial shortfall for the project, they run to the bank and borrow money for it. If God was behind it, you'd think He'd fund it without the pastor having to resort to borrowing at interest.

While I'm at it, how about churches that place paramount importance upon some project or another and neglect the people in the pews who many be hurting or need help.

When people in church form groups on their own based on status, profession or age and ignore others, especially people who look "weird".
