Why you should never chase a guy who runs away? Just the thought of chasing or running makes me tired. I'm not Mulan, more like a Sleeping Beauty over here :p In all seriousness though, because your better than that is my answer. If he doesn't want to stay or didn't, he's not worth anymore energy. Don't be a Maleficent and run for him just for him to take your wings away(the thing that matters most to you), fly the other way!
Normally, common men do not run away, unless they bit a cake...

Her question/topic was changed.

To the assertion that most guys are afraid of commitment, I tend to disagree. This isn't for the sake of defending the male species or anything, but while some guys are afraid of commitment, I don't think that it's true that all are. Allow me to offer up a few alternatives as to why a guy might walk away suddenly:

1. The guy doesn't have the attraction to her necessary to go after her. I have only pursued three girls in my lifetime because I was struck by their character and beauty to the point where I basically couldn't not pursue them. That's simply not been the case for most women I've met. That doesn't mean there's any problem with them or with me, that's just the way things have played out as far as what my heart and what God have led me to do.

2. The guy is an immature toolbox who chases after women just so he can have some of their attention and affection. And when he finds someone better he moves along.

3. He dies.

There are other reasons too, but I think these (except maybe #3) are common ones. Sometimes a woman just isn't the right one for him and he doesn't know how to communicate that without feeling like he's shattering her universe, so he just disappears. And sometimes he's an immature boy. This isn't to make apologies for them, of course. Honesty and selflessness are encouraged virtues. But I think these occur more often in real life than the instance of the guy being afraid to commit.

Here's the 4th reason -

The guy started the chase but then the lady turned around and started to run towards him like a bloodthirsty zombie. It took a while for the guy to realize that the table had turned, but he managed to flee away in time...

(This happened once to me.)

Somehow this sounds like the punchline of a great commercial, somewhere along the lines of:

"Where's the beef?"

"I've fallen, and I can't get up!"

"Officer! That man stole my bacon!"

All of this bacon talk makes me hungry. I swear you guys are in cahoots with piggerys or at least the butchers.

What if its your heart that he stole? :)
Then I would give him a lecture on how rude it is to steal people's things.

(Then take his kidneys for taking my heart in the first place)

Cahoots? Piggerys? First it was calling dinner 'tea' now all this jibber jabber?

South Australians are odd. Say 'Hi' to the gang for me.

FYI, i also disagree as that's been my exact opposite experience. if anything, i've seen guys way too eager to be committed, and i think your statement is way off.
Then they may have been more interested in you than you were in them.....so for you it may be true. For me my statement is also true I found them to turn and run faster than chase after me.... That was o.k. for me I learned a lot of lessons in 35 years of freedom.....that some term as single life.....I was the one afraid of commitment after the first marriage....burned once and afraid to get burned again.....So then maybe the commitment issue lies with the party male or female???.....

'Piggerys' are what they call pig farms. 'Cahoots' means to work together with someone (usually in a suspicious manner). I don't think either term is South Australian, but you're right - we are odd. Yes, I'll say 'Hi' to the gang. Thanks, Arlene. :)

I know what a piggery is, I just haven't heard it in such a long time. Cahoot I am unfamiliar with.

Fair enough. I mean, piggerys don't come up in my everyday conversation either.

If that is like that, next time someone approaches you it is becasue of you, yet the body and the pocket is somewhat involved to endure all the times, when babies and bills would come and, to spare you from family gossips, soon after are spread behind your back, my friend.

As a matter of being preyed (either sex or social status), as an argument to run away (with reason, becasue there are several people to run from, sometimes) (as I have learned from friends and others here and outside) today I read something REALLY CHEAP (which, by the way, is not only creepily applied to one group nation or race) stupid busine$$e$ behind...

"Why do so many women from (deleted) want to marry foreign men? If you're interested in dating a (deleted) for marriage, it's really important to know what's the real intention of the Asian lady dating you. According to some online dating reviews on dating (deleted) women, it can be concluded to be the following aspects:

Filipinas are just obsessed with Western men.
Just like you guys, some (deleted) ladies date you just because of you're WHITE. Probably influenced by the Hollywood movies, some Asian women think western men are very strong, masculine, romantic and always nice and respectful to women. This kind of women enjoy being possessed and really feel protective in this way. They have heroic complex, more or less.

You guys are more gentlemen, less chauvinism.
In the past, Asian ladies were living for their husband and family. But today they want to please themselves and satisfy the desires as a human and woman. This kind of women in Asia are well educted, open-minded and have the urge for freedom and being respeted, while many Asian guys still keep the traditional concept of women and can't offer these modern Asian ladies what they really want. So Asian women have to cast their eyes toward the western land in the hope of find a compatible partner.

You can offer (deleted) woman a better life.
(...) (That lie goes on)"

This world is somewhat confusing... I´d better follow my head.

Sensible choice SH...
It is! And I got mad when I saw things I read (because I have talked and I have read from other people) and Christian circles are "mute" on certain things that are too hot to be sorted out.

I don´t want to close my eyes... I can´t stop "the sun" with one finger.
