Didn’t you quit last October? Or earlier. I am sure there is music that is much sweeter and of a better quality out there, I have no doubt. I hope you find it, if you have not found the better music already.

Lynx. You nerd of all nerds. Why do you pick videos I can't watch? Do I have to get a proxy IP address? I have always wondered if that is a bit illegal or immoral.....

So I got a turkey and I can't figure out if I did something really good or somewhat inconvenient.

Our workplace gives us a voucher for a turkey at the local grocery store. I asked Mom if she wanted a small or large turkey and she did say she wanted a large one... I found one that was 39 pounds. I was hoping for a flat 40, mostly for OCD reasons, but I settled for 39.

I told Mom how much it weighed and she expressed shock. Then she posted it on her facebook and her friends expressed shock. I thought that was fairly normal for a turkey (but then I've never cooked a turkey,) but apparently it is very large. Mom says her Reynolds (tm) turkey bags only go up to 24 pound turkeys. One of her friends mentioned she cannot find even a 20 pound turkey these days.

I dunno, Mom says it's a good thing but I still hope I'm not causing a lot of inconvenience. Mom is the one who will be cooking this bird. I had no idea that was such an outrageous size for a turkey.

Maybe we can cut it up in chunks to marinate and bake it. I'll check if Mom has a skill saw.

I don't think that's a turkey.

I think that's more like an ostrich.

Either that, or just imagine the kind of 'Roid Rage that turkey must have had while it was a live.

Talk about an "Angry Bird..."

When we have turkey, we fill it with the same meat (it is not minced meat like you are having, it is minced pork mixed with milk a bit of potato starch and spiced with nutmeg, salt and white pepper) we use for our meatloaf. It makes a very good stuffing, and you can eat is as a meatloaf the rest of the week.

I would fry the whole thing, then have the leftovers in curries, freeze some already diced for later curries, eat turkey sandwiches for a week, and treat my dogs with what is left after the week has gone. And then I wont eat turkey for another year (except for the diced in the freezer I still can have on a pizza or in a curry).

Yes, a friend of mine made the same comment. But I've had ostrich before and it was good. Should this be another, it will be tasty.

If they give me a free turkey, I'm getting a free turkey. Make the most of life, especially the tasty part.

I see everywhere how many people are involved in relationship drama that always causes pain, hurt, depression and insanity. I'm here wondering why I would want to enter that community.

Because the lucky ones live happily ever after, according to those rom-coms.

Actually from what I can tell relationship drama is caused by people who get in relationships for A-sex, B-fear of being alone or C-wanting somebody else's money. Mostly for B though, fear of being alone. If you are not terrified of solitude you can afford to wait until you happen to meet a nice lady, you two hit it off and you eventually wind up getting married. THAT is the only reason to enter that relationship community.

"Don't you want to get married?"
"No, because I don't know somebody I want to marry. If I meet a girl and we start dating, that answer might someday change. For now, no. I do not want to get married just for the sake of being married."

If you're perfect you probably should not. You would have no understanding or sympathy for those who have troubles in their lives.
