I have unlocked and relocked some.

Faith is a gift from God.

Faith leads to grace.

It is in the Book.

If you are employed as a welder and your employer wants a perfect bead, you telll them you are not perfect and are not even going to try, but you still expect your full wages at the end of the week. Are you going to get your full wages or the boot?
We have the Master Weder living in us...big difference.

OK..I'm not talking about salvation. I am talking about being empowered buy the spirit after salvation. Like walking with God.To do the works the spirit wants me to do. Not going off in self and doing some outer stuff.

Did you read and understand what was said? The worthless servant buried his talent of gold. Gold is our faith in the Word. We all receive faith as a gift when we come to Jesus Christ. If your faith is buried it cannot lead you to grace, nor will you be a productive servant. Now, if you feel convicted because of these truths from the Word, that is you.

Also, now you are saying you have works? Are you not doing the same as I? Your works should include obeying Jesus Christ, right? Why then tell me I am trying to earn my salvation, when I have confessed that I am saved by the Blood of the Lamb of God, my Lord, and yours I hope, Jesus Christ.

Make up your mind. Does faith produce good works? Is obeying Jesus Christ not good works? Please tell me one way or another. I have shared and bared all with everyone here, so why not you?

Ha j/k about the last post. Salvation is the free gift of GOD. Gifts are not earned. Glory to GOD, not man.

if faith leads to grace then grace mst be earned and it is not grace. and faith is our own and not trust in God.

Grace leads to faith. We are ssaved by grace THROUGH (by the means of) FAITH. Not saved ny faith THROUGH (by the means of) GRACE. you have it backwards.

Thank you Brother Don.

A few days ago I gave everyone permission to go off the OP because they were doing it anyway. As long as folks are discussing the Word, the thread is still valuable to all I believe. I know your posts have been edifying and uplifting,; I thank you for you participation especially.
Whew! Thank goodness you've granted us permission! How could we otherwise live with ourselves?

The only thing I did for salvation was have faith, hear and believe. The Spirit convicts us.

Holman Christian Standard Bible
Galatians 2:16 know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. And we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.

then why should you worry, or teach someone they can lose salvation.? for that would be the worse fear one could have AND IF IT WAS NOT, IT SHOULD BE!

Faith is IN GOD's grace. Faith is not something we do to get to that grace.

you relocked it alright.
Every step of faith is by His grace..!

1 Corinthians 15:10 KJV
[10] But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Salvation is not a wage, it is a gift.

We can try to weld all we want, if we do not have the power of God. our welds will always be bad, and we will never recieve a wage, The master will cast us out of his abode and into the fire for never being able to be a welder.

But hey, I guess you tried your whole life to be a welder. I guess that has to account for something huh?? (just asking)

Rom 5:2

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Do you understand Paul is teaching our faith accesses grace. How can we have grace without faith. Faith is always first, accessing grace.

Please stop picking at what others post without understanding what is said. It is not correct in the sight of the Father.

Good bye..

Let us talk about the model of who a christian is. Is he a robot, who has bad control ability, and must continually make sure the Spirit guides him, nothing can be done because the believer thinks it is a good idea that is earning salvation?

Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
Matt 18:19

This is called empowerment.

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven
Matt 16:19

This is called authority.

God empowers us to do things as part of the Kingdom, because we are new creations.

Have you ever sat back and let God love through you like a possessed doll, or is it you loving empowered by God?

The model I see here is children of the Kingdom exercising what has been written on their hearts as members of the Kingdom. They are not earning anything by action, they are doing because they are part of Jesus's people. My impression is you guys feel this idea is so alien to your experience it cannot be right. But this is not a problem of theology it is a problem of your experience.

Just a reminder in keeping with my previous post.

When we bury our faith, we cannot access anything.

your post had originally said "faith leads to grace". (see post 758).
Faith lays hold of the grace that is already there.

we are already STANDING IN GRACE, it is already there, It does not say we are standing in faith to walk in grace.

It takes faith to ACT in the grace we already are in.

I do not get you man, I do not get it at all. I am dumbfounded as to how you can not see this..

strawman.

Stop trying to drive your car to heaven, you will never make it

Instead enter the train bound for heaven, And you will get there.

Just a reminder in keeping with my previous post.

When we bury our faith, we cannot access anything.
so God is so untrustworthy we would ever even think of burying our faith completely and without question in all areas of our life?

Do you really think God is that untrustworthy?
