Let's just look at the reality. The Bible teaches there are wheat and tares. Parables of Matthew 13 speak of leaven in the lump, etc. The devil has his in the Christian congregation. So, it's a reality. There are false prophets, doctrines of demons. And some of the worst are those who pull the love card, claiming that rebuke isn't Christ-like, as if those of truth should have accommodation with lies. It's the likes of the Pope proclaiming a big, ecumenical religion, but a religion that the world will believe, straight into hell. There are these Lone Rangers on message boards with their own legalistic, self-righteous religions, who don't understand scripture harmony, and refuse to listen to the long line of God's faithful servants the past couple thousand years, Spirit-filled theologians who agreed and agree on certain truths they foolishly dispute.
When lies are exposed, when the truth, the message, can't be attacked, attack the messenger. If you are an agent of God's truth, you are going to be attacked by the devil's own, right in the congregation, and the Bible was never politically correct as to lies and liars. Again, wheat and tares: it's a reality, as well as persecution of the righteous by the phony, unrighteous world. This situation is in scripture, so what are some of you expecting, who are, as if, proclaiming there should be no divisions, when the Lord Jesus, Himself, said the truth is divisive? If everybody were truly of the Holy Spirit, there wouldn't be a truth problem, but this will not happen until glory. It is what it is in the here and now, and a situation where those of Holy Spirit truth are much out numbered. You of gospel truth, when everybody starts liking you, better check your message and repent.
Matthew 10:34-39 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 5:10-12 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
That said, I do believe much of what goes on in these forums is silly, the repetitive debates. Suppose you're evangelizing: you never park yourself on an unbeliever's doorstep, or stand in their face, arguing all day, do you? The Lord told His disciples to move along, shake the dust off their feet, if not received. The Bible states we should avoid such endless disputing. On both sides of any issue, what do you who repeat yourselves, all day long, across repetitive thread clones, hope to accomplish, or think you're accomplishing?
As always, I wonder if a lot of people just like to bicker, have anger issues, mental issues. Otherwise, why don't you get bored, repeating yourself, or think anybody else wants to read you repeating yourselves? Christianity aside, does this make any sense, in terms of simply normal human behavior? In person, do you repeat yourself and argue in peoples' faces all day, or would that be aberrant, antisocial behavior, even to you? Would you think you're doing God any service and a good representative of Christ? Is there anybody here, but those bickering, who even read the endless pages of all that stuff?
