I found it interesting scanning these four pages of posts. It was touching to see "Deceased" under a nickname... first time I've seen that. Many people are still registered, but don't seem to have posted in years.
I noticed that both female and male commenters seem to prefer relatively simply, inexpensive weddings. Clearly the "bridezilla" isn't a fair stereotype of women, but only of carnal women... praise the Lord for that!
It also reminds me of an event many years ago when I was engaged the first time. I was discussing tentative plans with the young lady and her parents, who had been Christians for decades. They were advocating the idea that the bride's family should plan the wedding day, and that the groom just needed to show up, basically, and otherwise do what he's told. They dad even said that was the "biblical" model. Fortunately that wedding never happened.
My opinion, if men were to plan weddings, is that they would be simpler and cheaper. By all means, feed the guests some decent food and celebrate with them, but don't go into debt, and spend more time and effort preparing for the marriage than for the wedding.
