Today I realised where the legalists go wrong.

Christ is removed from a personal relationship of love into a court room.
The sin debt is there, and is dealt with. It is remote and not involved with the individual.
The sin is everything that causes harm throughout the life of the believer.

But this is just guilt appeasement, while leaving a sinner still sinning.
The law is seen as only a means to identify failure and sin, not as the guide to what a
healthy relationship with God looks like.

In all good relationships there is understanding on both sides. It takes time to develop
to grow and to be acknowledged.

Christ and the cross is there to establish the intimate communion with our souls, to
show us Gods intension and embrace us in both forgiveness, love and identity.

But this only works when it is personal, open hearted, with honesty, vulnerability and
a proper response to evil and the damage we personally have done. It is not a court
room far off, it is in the locked room, alone with God, and it is where loneliness and hurt
is transformed into praise, love and acceptance.

And this shows to others because people start reaching out from within to share and
touch the heart of others, to bring that healing and love which Christ brought them.

The law says there is problem, it is the cross and love in an open heart that brings
the life. The old man of the lusts of the flesh driven by pain and loneliness, are now
gone, replaced with love and appreciation of being saved by the King of Kings.

Now if this has never happened to you, ofcourse all that makes sense is the law
is just about condemnation and failure and accepting it. But this is not the gospel,
that is only the asking the question, will you open up your heart to Christ?

It is this opening and calling to Christ that brings new life, salvation, love, is the
beginning of the Kingdom in ones soul.

Addiction to legalism

A legalist thinks of relationships as a set of rules you follow, because
their heart and emotions are closed down.

But a relationship is being open and honest about who you are and how
you feel. There is not security here, but trust that in this love answers
will be found and things worked out.

But the legalist wants to have guarantees, certainty, that once things are
established they can never go away. But this way of thinking comes from
a hard heart, scared of pain, and full of loneliness and hurts from betrayal.

Christs way is to love, to bear the pain and hurts, and know love overcomes
and works through all issues and futures and resolves them because He is the
creator. There is no hurt big enough that can destroy this love or abuse too
big that this love flinches away from. And in Christ there is no loneliness, only
support and encouragement into eternity.

So to step today with Jesus into this love is eternal and is certain, because it
itself is the guarantee, without end, rising from the dead, conquering that which
we fear most, a certainty that we all face and snatches away those we have loved.

But this is not what these legalists know or experience.
Which is why they fail to truly perceive Christ and righteousness and face in true
rebellion against the gospel of grace, love and freedom in Christ to eternity.

Righteousness/sanctification is a process. Becoming like Jesus is a process because we are not perfect. We are like silver being polished until Christ is formed in us. Just because you are forgiven you can sit there and bask doing nothing instead of putting your faith into action.
Same old argument, Can you tell me where myself or ANYONE else said this was ok? or that it would happen? I will be patiently waiting.

Jesus has forgiven and commanded us to sin no more. Sin no more means to avoid any appearance of evil, fight the desires of the flesh, follow Jesus, do your best to walk in rghteousness, overcome evil with good, and carry your cross everyday.
Yep he did No one here is denying this.

He never expected or demanded you be perfect. He would be asking you to do something that only HE could do..

Noah got saved because of God's grace AND because he obeyed God and built the ark. If he did not obey, God's grace would go to waste. His action is the result of his faith. If righteousness is instant like magic then why is there a need to follow Jesus, fight the desires of the flesh or carry your cross?
Noah was saved because he had FAITH IN GOD, before he even started collecting materials for the ark..

If Noah did not have faith, he would have never been saved. and would never have spent a whole year putting up with all the attacks by the people apposed to him.. HIS FAITH KEPT HIM GOING, BECAUSE IT WAS REAL.

Building the ark was a BYPRODUCT or his faith, But he was saved BEFORE he built the ark..

If you have true saving faith, YOU WILL WORK.. that is not a question to true believers, it only seems to be a question to those who think one can have true faith AND HAVE ZERO WORKS.

ever wonder why that is?

The ARROGANCE lies with the OSASers who think they can do whatever they want, live however they want once they are saved, because, HEY, IT'S ALL GOOD! WE DID THAT ASK FORGIVENESS THING ONCE! That, sir, is the pinnacle of ARROGANCE.
Go ahead buddy, Prove this statement, Show us where anyone has ever said such a thing.. You anger is so strong and bitterness is so deep. You can not even speak truth now.

God said I had to forgive you and I have, He did not say I had to put up with your crap and not expose the lies you are telling, or your false gospel..

I and others live in Christian humility because we know we are not perfect, and we can fail, and sin, so we strive to live Christ like, and not sin, BUT IF WE DO, we also know to repent and ask God to forgive us of our failings.
Humility? Dude there is no humility in the posts you have been showing these past few days That post you made about Dcon and where you would be there with CHrist when Dcon enters for judgment, that was the most arrogant prideful post I have ever heard anyone post in CC.. and I have been here for years.. That post basically caused any respect i had for you to go by the way side..

I just pray it is not something is going in in you personal life that is causing this anger, if it is, I pray God gives you peace and helps you through it.. Otherwise wow dude, Just wow.

You guys be like...............no need for that.............and that is the arrogance in all of this.

Again, Please back your words with proof. I want to see where any of us have said such things..

Get with Dconn and figure all of this out

Oh, and since you decided to post demeaning and degrading comments towards me, you best repent and work a little harder on that seventy times seven thing, right?

too...........too............funny
Be all things to all people. You get what you give out.. Or are you free from having to be decent because of who you are??

Hypicrite much?? (your the one who started the attacks a few days ago) now i guess your going to blame us for your own sin?

I never claimed to be perfect.

Ephesians 4:21) If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 .) That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 .) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 .) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 .) Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 .) Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 .) Neither give place to the devil.
28 .) Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
29 .) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 .) And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 .) Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 .) And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Hmm...................let us review some of the comments here to see how they compare to the Word eh?

too........too funny
You just condemned yourself bud,, How does it feel? Or do you still deny your doing anything wrong?

When they say all future sins are forgiven, "all" covers premeditated ones as well.

You can't say "all" unless you mean"all".

But, when you mention the premeditated ones, they claim that can't possibly happen.....with no proof.

So, they claim it can't happen with a premeditated answer. IOW, an excuse for everything.

In the end, the cycle starts over..... "all future sins forgiven", & nothing mentioned about premeditated sins until someone brings it up, because they wanted it to remain that way until they have to explain it away. In other words, it's all true until someone calls them on the carpet about it.

Doctrines of demons.

Slippery little devils, aren't they? Like eels.
ALL MEANS ALL.

Exept one..

Mark 3
[SUP]28 [/SUP]“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; [SUP]29 [/SUP]but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”

Please notice, It does not say all sins MIGHT be forgive, it say they ALL will be forgiven.

Jesus paid the price for all. But one, rejection of God

That has been what He had been leading me to share.

Salvation is never at risk, but stepping out of walk with Him in fellowship is when we sin & do not ask Him for forgiveness nor lean on Him for help to repent from it.

Actually, seek the Lord's help at that throne of grace to help you through the Holy Spirit in you. The Holy Spirit cannot answer prayers; only the Son can do that; 1 Timothy 2:5 & Hebrews 4:12-16 & John 14:6,13-14

Billy Graham also needs our prayers, because he has taught falsehood as well, believing that there are other ways for sinners to be saved in the world. Plus in his interview with Tony Snow, he had doubted he would be received by Jesus Christ because he was not always a good christian. So even leaders forget the truths that they have been preaching.
Knew that would be coming. Resorting to character assassination only works against you. The point is that the understanding that Christians HAVE forgiveness of all sins is a Christian belief, not just the belief of those groups some have a personal vendetta against. It is the rejection of this truth that is the anomaly, not our acceptance of it.

FOR ALL THOSE WHO BELIEVE JESUS DOES NOT TEACH US TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS OF SINS:

It is sad so many of you are deceived by the false teachers who enter in among us............truly sad. I must wonder how deceived you must be to not even understand the MOST SIMPLISTIC teaching of Christ. It is truly amazing to me.

Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread,

AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESSPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US............

or, if you prefer

FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS.....

Not only does He teach us to ask for forgiveness, He teaches us to do this every time we pray!

how can that be so hard to understand and believe?

(goodness)

Again, Please show one time where anyone said we should not cofess our sins to god.. Please.. I will patiently be waiting.

Is it a sin to say future sin is forgiven or is it just stupid?

Stupid is an idea so ridiculous only in a very specific context would anybody think
it makes sense.

In human society there is a real situation were this works and it is called diplomatic
immunity. A local police force cannot prosecute or arrest a diplomat without
getting in trouble no matter what they have done.

But no way are these people innocent. It is just because every country carries
the responsibility for its own representatives.

And what did Paul say about people in the Kingdom who sinned. They died.

We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. We should not test Christ, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
1 Cor 10:8-13

That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.
1 Cor 11:30-31

Now it is stupid to say the sinning here did not carry judgement on believers
for their behaviour.

Grace doesn't need to be "balanced" with anything. And certainly not with the Law.
Throughout the Bible, God’s law and His grace are interwoven. They are not at odds.

Matthew 3:8
Acts 1:8
1 Thessalonians 1:5
2 Timothy 1:14
James 2:26
1 John 2:6
Romans 6:14-15
John 1:14
Ephesians 2:10

There is no conflict between grace and Law, properly understood. Christ fulfilled the law on our behalf and offers the power of the Holy Spirit, who motivates a regenerated heart to live in obedience to Him. A grace that has the power to save also has the power to motivate a sinful heart toward godliness. Jesus embodied perfect balance between grace and the Law. It is not "Law or grace" but "Law and grace". We are saved "for" good works, not "by" good works.

The 10 commandments/law were called the ministry of condemnation and of death by Paul. We can trust the life of Christ in us to live godly in this world.

The grace of God "teaches" now in the New Covenant how to deny ungodliness and to live sensibly, righteous and godly in this present age - NOT the law of Moses. Titus 2:11-12

The 10 commandments are called the "letter that kills" and the "ministry of death" - The New Covenant is called the "ministry of the Spirit" that brings Life.

The 10 commandments were called "the ministry of condemnation" - the New Covenant is called "the ministry of righteousness." This is Christ's righteousness given to us that believe.

2 Corinthians 3:6-9 (NASB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

[SUP]7 [/SUP] But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was,

[SUP]8 [/SUP] how will the ministry of the Spirit fail to be even more with glory?

[SUP]9 [/SUP] For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory.

The law of Moses including the 10 commandments are like an x-ray machine - they show up things that are wrong but the x-ray machine has no power to "fix it".

It just reveals what is wrong. It's the same here for Christ Himself and His life in our new hearts is the only thing that can "fix us" with a transformed life which is all done by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ.

Please, just one more time, show us where anyone declared
we are to love Christ unto death.

Just please demonstrate where we said we should be like Jesus
or this is our goal in our walk.

Please just once show us where God did not ask believers caught in sin
to not repent, or face judgement?

I wonder if the absence of belief is proof they deny the beliefs,
which is probably true but to actually declare it would be a bit too
obvious.

Please, just one more time, show us where anyone declared
we are to love Christ unto death.
We will love Christ till death, At lease if we are saved,, You love people who saved you from dying on this earth till death and would be eternally grateful to them, Why would you not be to God? Unless you do not realize you are saved?
Just please demonstrate where we said we should be like Jesus
or this is our goal in our walk.
Please show where we said this is not the case? We say it should be the case. So if you do not.. I don't know...
Please just once show us where God did not ask believers caught in sin to not repent, or face judgement?
Please just once, Show where.

1. We can be sinless, because if we can not, then everyone will be judged, according to your own standard
2. Where a child of God can lose eternal life and DIE (especially since Jesus said in John 6 they WOULD NEVER DIE..

I wonder if the absence of belief is proof they deny the beliefs,

I wonder if your lack of FAITH is the reason you do not understand certain things? Many people believe in God.. yet they all have differing opinions on what the gospel (way to heaven) is.. Why is this? is it not a lack of faith in Christ?

How can one trust in Christ for salvation, then deny that christ can keep them from falling, Can keep them sealed. Can keep them saved? And put the onus of salvation away from God and back on each induvidual? Is it again lack of faith in God?

Hebrews said by one sacrifice (the cross) he has perfected forever those who are in the process of being sanctified.

Does forever not mean forever? Where is your faith?

Sorry do not understand this. I am talking about loving christ even if our lives are threatened.
Simple.
Please show where we said this is not the case? We say it should be the case. So if you do not.. I don't know...
Our goal is to be like Jesus. Funnily the other day someone did deny this,
which made me laugh. Shows how weak understanding can be.
Please just once, Show where.

2. Where a child of God can lose eternal life and DIE (especially since Jesus said in John 6 they WOULD NEVER DIE..
There is a problem with this language. The absence of sin is called righteousness
and love or fulfilment of the law. Paul talks about our love being exactly this.
I wonder if your lack of FAITH is the reason you do not understand certain things? Many people believe in God.. yet they all have differing opinions on what the gospel (way to heaven) is.. Why is this? is it not a lack of faith in Christ?

Here is the interesting point, I believe Christ can do the impossible, make me literally
righteous, holy and pure. It is why the cross and resurrection are so stunning.

This is what I call real faith and power. Paul certainly believed Jesus did it for him.
In Christ he has found righteousness which was impossible in the law.

Now I know you read imputed righteousness, but do you notice you have to put
the word imputed in there to make it mean that.

This is what adding to scripture gets you. But then until a different spiritual
reality dawns, you will forever be encased in your position.

I do wonder EG, I am a first generation believer, growing up in a non-believing
church attending family, so my faith is off my own searching and Gods revelation.
Not sure how many generations you are 2nd or 3rd?

Simple.
What is to understand, If someone saved your life. You will love them NO MATTER WHAT!!

Maybe you can not understand, because you do not realize you are saved?

Our goal is to be like Jesus. Funnily the other day someone did deny this,
which made me laugh. Shows how weak understanding can be.
ok, post. who said it, and where?

There is a problem with this language. The absence of sin is called righteousness
and love or fulfilment of the law. Paul talks about our love being exactly this.
There is a problem with this, it is called not answering the question and deflecting.

So can you answer the questions or not?

Here is the interesting point, I believe Christ can do the impossible, make me literally
righteous, holy and pure. It is why the cross and resurrection are so stunning.

so why do you think God will fail?? Just asking Are you sinless? if not, you are not literally righteous holy and pure. no matter how righteous you think you are..

This is what I call real faith and power. Paul certainly believed Jesus did it for him.
In Christ he has found righteousness which was impossible in the law.
Paul certainly did not believe he was sinless. But he did believe he was MADE righteous. He also understood. the law would still condemn him where he stood based on the fact, he was not sinless..

Now I know you read imputed righteousness, but do you notice you have to put
the word imputed in there to make it mean that.

It is imputed. If it is not imputed. It means you are left on your own, It means the cross is no longer in action. It means if you sin one time, Your lost forever.

what will it take for you to see this? We keep praying..

This is what adding to scripture gets you. But then until a different spiritual
reality dawns, you will forever be encased in your position.

No different than saying eternal is not eternal. or forever is not forever. So who is changing the meaning of the word?

Saying i have the righteousnes of Christ is not adding to the word, it is what the word says.. I do not have my own righteousness.. Nor am I saved by it (titus 3: 5)

I do wonder EG, I am a first generation believer, growing up in a non-believing
church attending family, so my faith is off my own searching and Gods revelation.
Not sure how many generations you are 2nd or 3rd?
The high priest of Israel in Christs day, What generation was he?

You found a church, it does not mean your church is the right church.. All it means is you found a church,, Caiaphas was the high priest of the church (assembly) of Isreal.. How good did that do him?

Romans 4:6 (NASB95)
6 just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

Verb logizomai (λογίζομαι) [pronounced log-IHD-zohm-ai], which means, 1) to reckon, count, compute, calculate, count over; 1a) to take into account, to make an account of; 1a1) metaphorically to pass to one’s account, to impute; 1a2) a thing is reckoned as or to be something, i.e. as availing for or equivalent to something, as having the like force and weight; 1b) to number among, reckon with; 1c) to reckon or account; 2) to reckon inward, count up or weigh the reasons, to deliberate; 3) by reckoning up all the reasons, to gather or infer; 3a) to consider, take into account, weigh, meditate on; 3b) to suppose, deem, judge; 3c) to determine, purpose, decide. It isn't saving faith.

thank you for posting this. I was going to post something similar, but this is even better.

peterjens proven WRONG yet again. now, he could actually admit this, and gain a lot of respect for honesty. or he could just ignore, or twist, and continue the laughable lecturing about how pure, holy, and righteous he is.
