If God justifieth the Ungodly ?

If God justifieth the Ungodly the ungodly as it states in Rom 4:5

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Then His Justifying of them is prior to that ungodly one believes, for if not, then if believing is the condition of ones Justification before God, then it only stands to reason that believing is before ones Justification, in which case that one was a believer before Justified, and not ungodly, for never in scripture is a believer recognized as ungodly, but Rom 4:5 teaches that God Justifieth one while being ungodly, and therefore before ones Faith or Believing !

This is the same as they being reconciled to God while being enemies or ungodly Rom 5:10, so it can be also stated, that believeth on Him that reconciled the Ungodly, but how ? Not by their faith, for they are ungodly enemies, but by the death of His Son! 14

Genesis 3:

It matters what God states and in Genesis 3:14, God tells you to whom He was speaking. I even bolded the words in the verse so you would know.

You even stated in your Post 2629:

Again, I reiterate:

World means different things in scripture, for the most part in Salvation context it means Gentiles apart from jews.
Thayer's, references that distinction in one verse only (Romans 11:12).

As far as 2 Cor 5:19, Thayer's defines kosmos as "the inhabitants of the world ... particularly the inhabitants of the earth, men, the human race"

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their respasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Acts 5:

The "those that do not obey Him" of Acts 5:32 are the same as those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness of Romans 1:18.

Scripture is also clear that God reveals Himself and some reject God ... not because they do not have faith, but because they suppress/restrain the truth in unrighteousness:


Romans 1:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse


Rom 1:18-20 tells us that God makes plain His eternal power and Godhead ... however, this truth is suppressed. The words "who hold" in vs 18 are translated from the Greek word katechō which means to suppress; hold back; restrain. When the Word of God is spoken, the hearer restrains the truth from reaching his/her heart.

It is clear from vs 19 that God reveals His eternal power and Godhead and it is clear from vs 18 that it is the person who rejects God.




Christ died for the whole world of the saved.

John 1:12-13 does not support your claim

John 1:

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name

The Lord Jesus Christ clearly states that He gave power [the right, the privilege] to become the sons of God (vs 12) to those who did not reject Him (vs 11).

If they are already "born of God", they already are the sons of God. There would be no need for the Lord Jesus Christ to give them what they already have and are.
Until a person is born again, they are spiritually dead to God and the things of God. The Natural man cannot receive spiritually the words of God because they need to be spiritually discened 1 Cor 2:14

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

You believe the spiritually dead natural man has spiritual discernment ?

verse 12 explains what occurs when a person receives [Greek lambanō – to lay hold by aggressively (actively) accepting what is available] the Lord Jesus Christ as opposed to those who reject Him as those shown in vs 11.

Those who lay hold by actively accepting the Lord Jesus Christ are granted the privilege, honor, right to become sons of God.

even to them that believe on his name ... those who receive Him (lambanō – to lay hold by aggressively (actively) accepting) are the ones who believe on His name.

verse 13 explains that those who receive Him ... those who believe on His name are begotten of God ... not in some distant time in the past to which you continuously infer ... but at the time they received the Lord Jesus Christ and believed on his name (vs 12).


The point is that if a person is already a son of God, there is no need for Jesus to give them power to become a son of God.

That is the point you continue to ignore ... either because you are incapable of comprehending the point ... or you are purposely obfuscating.

reconciled translated from Greek katallássōdecisively change, as when two parties reconcile when coming ("changing") to the same position.


The one who is justified by faith (Rom 5:1) is no longer an enemy because he/she is now reconciled. Both parties are now reconciled.

God (the Party of the first part) established His eternal purpose in eternity past ... God reconciled Himself to mankind through the death of His Son.

The believer (the party of the second part) is reconciled at the time he/she is justified. At that point, both parties (God and the believer) came to the same position (see definition of reconciled translated from Greek katallássō).

Under your erroneous dogma, a person is simultaneously irreconcilable and reconciled.

Again you deny the witness of the resurrection of Christ Rom 4:25
What is written in Romans 4:25 does not change the fact that the verbs are in the present tense in Romans 4:5:

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth [present tense] on him that justifieth [present tense] the ungodly, his faith is counted [present tense] for righteousness.

The verbs are in the present tense which means that at the very moment the person believes, his/her faith is counted for righteousness ... at that very moment, God justifies the one who believes ... at that very moment the believer is no longer ungodly.

Please address the issue concerning the verb tense in Romans 4:5. They are all present tense, notwithstanding what is written in Romans 4:25.

The punctuation like the comma isnt inspired, so if you put the comma after the word Justified, you have a better sense of the meaning.
In agreement the punctuation is added to the text and we can leave it out altogether. That does not change the meaning of the verse:

The sealing ministry of the Spirit in Eph 1:13 isnt regeneration, thats your statement not scripture.
The word "sealed" is translated from the Greek word sphragízō which means to seal (affix) with a signet ring or other instrument to stamp (a roller or seal), i.e. to attest ownership.

According to Scripture, the very moment a person is born again, he/she is sealed by the Holy Spirit. Every single born again believer is a child of God and belongs to Him (i.e. is owned by God).

Because the sealing signifies ownership, then that means under your dogma, you've got folks regenerated who are not owned by God. So God does not own those who according to you are regenerated? They are born again (regenerated) ... children of the Most High God ... and yet they are not owned by Him because (according to you) regeneration occurs before they hear, yet the sealing takes place at some later point. :rolleyes:

In order for your understanding to be correct, you have to rearrange the words to fit your stated belief. Just read Scripture as written by the Author of Scripture. If God had wanted the verse to read "And God counted Abraham righteous and Abraham believed", God would have written the verse in that order.

Quit manipulating Scripture in your vain attempt to align Scripture to your erroneous dogma.

Your statement is incorrect because, if true, that would mean there was never any enmity. However, God's Word is clear ... we were enemies and we remain enemies until we are justified by faith (Rom 5:1). At that point, we are reconciled to God and we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The word "now" is translated from the Greek word nýn.

Now that the Colossian believers had come to faith in Christ Jesus (Col 1:4), Paul points out in vs 21 that they are no longer alienated ... no longer enemies ... they are reconciled.

The words "who hold" in vs 18 are translated from the Greek word katechō which means to suppress; hold back; restrain. When the Word of God is spoken, the hearer restrains the truth, suppresses the truth.

It is clear from vs 19 that God reveals His eternal power and Godhead and it is clear from vs 18 that it is the person who rejects God.
