How come I was never as lucky as some of these teenage boys when I was in school? I think I only had one good-looking teacher, and there was no way she would do anything with a student. LOL

I don't believe rape has that much to do with sexuality. I think it is a way of exercising power. Some folks need to do that, and more often than not, they are picking out vulnerable people that can't defend themselves. A lot of women fits right into that can't defend themselves description. If you are drunk, you're even more vulnerable. I can't say this often enough, but girls/women should not get drunk, becuase by doing so we are exposing ourselves to predators.

Jenny, even if we're sober, we expose ourselves to predators every time we leave the house. Rapists strike at bars, dark unlit parking lots, in the park, even in our own homes. Look at the women who get attacked as they're walking to their car at night in an empty lot, or even just jogging in the park. Or even at home, and someone breaks in. Look at all the women and kids who get snatched off the streets everyday, and end up raped and murdered.

You don't gotta be drunk to have an encounter with a predator.

But see thats the thing, under common law and how states write the rape law, the victim has to have a vagina and that vagina must be penetrated by a penis by force or fear of force to make a rape. Otherwise it is a sexual battery and is treated as a lesser offense as far as punishment goes.
Great point, I'll have to look up the stats, but I think homosexual rape among women and men is skyrocketing.

Men are often laughing whenever talking about this, but what if said teenage boy's teacher was a 50 year old cougar, a real predator, would it still be laughable?

In my younger, wilder days I would have killed for an experience like that. No psych meds required thereafter.

A lifetime of guilt and possible STD's are another story...

I know, but what I wanted to point out is that being intoxicated makes people even more exposed to it.

Guys while I know you are trying to be funny, it is sad to read about how these people's lives are affected by something traumatic that happened when they were kids...yea their human body may have responded well to their encounter but their soul let out an unheard scream of help/innocence taken that many of the men who were raped by teachers older than them have traumatic flashbacks.....some of the stories on reddit like I mentioned are very sad and have debilitated these men from pursuing women and carrying on with their lives at work, home etc....I would read some of those stories to truly understand how an unwanted sexual experience can damage a person horribly and take years to heal from....

No. Rape is a crime where a man gets an opportunity to ejaculate using a woman. What your talking about is a reoccurring theme on law and order svu. I'm sure there has been nutty guys who were serial rapist who were motivated by hate, power, and control, but I doubt you could find more than a dozen throughout history.

I had several cougar experiences. Just not with teachers. And, other than getting tired of it quickly, there was no trauma that I can recall... other than what my hound-dog days did to me, in general. Sex soon got very disassociated with "love."

True, but what if her date or whoever, slips a mickey into her drink while she's out of the room? You don't have to be in a bar for that to happen. And you can't take your drink (be it alcohol, juice or soda) into the bathroom with you..

It is rather disturbing to know that people actually are doing stuff like that...how can they be so evil???

They don't care who they hurt as long as they get what they want.

That's why it's important to always be aware of the surroundings. And if the woman doesn't have anything to protect herself with, use her legs to kick the guy in between his. And do so over and over again until it's safe. That'll keep any guy down for a while. I know it would me. I've never understood why women don't do that more often. Do they really not understand how beneficial that is towards them and how much it hurts us men?

A common opinion. Unfortunately, rape has very little to with sex drive, and such an action often makes things even worse if the offender returns to society.
Well said brother. It's a power and control thing more than it is a sexual desire thing.

It's a natural instinct to pull out pepper spray or a concealed weapon for protection. A hard kick could easily just be as much an instinct as the others, and possibly quicker.

Yeah, a good kick to the walnuts will incapacitate a man faster than pepper spray will.. I've done it before, many times when my ex Carl would hit me.. One kick and he was on the floor screaming like a little crybaby.. lol
